Providing a report on the past month’s activities against the 8 key objectives of the organisation

Improving job opportunities for local people:

1. Anne Smith and Cheryl Alvey have been updating the job book available to all clients and scouring the internet for job opportunities to ‘fit’ our clients’ needs.
2. Anne and Cheryl have supported 8 new and 37 returning clients in VOC free computer drop-in with 4 new 12 returning clients undertaking job skills support as part of GV Job Club; 9 clients have registered with UKOC’s GoOn, with all of them starting the Online Basics course and 5 people successfully completing this output this month.
3. Maxine Groobey met with Terry Clements from Barnsley College on 31^st January to discuss ways of working together to deliver job skill opportunities for local residents.  We will be delivering a number of interview skills workshops in the coming months in partnership.
